ADHESIVE & SEALANT COUNCIL AT AMERICAN METAL
MARKET (AMM) SUPPLY CHAIN CONFERENCE

ASC’s Chairman of Growth Task Force, Ana Wagner, to Speak on Keynote Panel;

Focus on Adhesives Value Proposition

September 14, 2017 – Bethesda, MD – Representation from the Adhesive & Sealant Council (ASC) will be speaking at the AMM Supply Chain Conference on September 19 in Dearborn, Michigan at The Henry.

Featured in the program and representing ASC will be Chairman of the ASC “Task Force on Growth”, Ana Wagner of Dow Automotive. This 15-minute talk will focus on the value proposition of adhesives and will be part of a panel discussion that will run from 9:30 – 10:30 am titled: “Automotive Market Stakeholders.”

“OEM and tier 1 stakeholders in the automotive marketplace should be aware of the efforts within ASC to help the design and specification community become more aware of the impact that adhesives and sealants have on vehicle body structures. Light weighting, bonding dissimilar materials, and reducing noise vibration and harshness (NVH) are just a few of the benefits that adhesives and sealants provide,” says Wagner. “The AMM show is a premier opportunity to be in front of those engineers and influencers that make decisions on materials and metal technology.”

“ASC and its members are in the final stages of developing a guide intended for the design and end user community that will highlight available adhesive chemistry types and aide in the process of material selection for structural adhesives, sealants and foams that are used to improve crashworthiness and joining options in the OEM body shop,” says Steve Duren, a Senior Director at ASC. “The soon to be published ASC Guide will be available by Oct 1, 2017 on ASC’s end user portal at adhesives.org on the Transportation Landing Page,” notes Duren.

The ASC Task Force on Growth is focused on providing value chain partners with industry neutral information that helps ASC members grow the market for adhesives and sealants in the Transportation Marketplace. The transportation landing page at adhesives.org contains white papers, blogs, videos, reports, and on-demand webinars . More information can be found HERE.
